Camp Nurse, Summer of 2012
West End House Camp is hiring a nurse for its 2012 summer season (the camp’s previous nurse served for many years, and now has retired).
It is located in southwestern Maine on a beautiful pristine lake in East Parsonsfield. The camp facility is approximately 45 minutes travel time from Portland or Ogunquit, or about a two hour drive from greater Boston.
The camp population consists of about 100 to 120 boys, ages 9 through 14, plus staff members. Campers arrive on June 24th, and depart on August 18th, although not all of the boys spend all eight weeks at camp.
The camp truly is a magical place with a proud history of enriching the lives of its campers and staff for over a century! It has a really nice web site that will give you a good idea of the flavor and character of the program.
Interested nurses can contact Camp Director Steve Lepler at slepswehc@aol.com
The camp has a Connecticut connection – Dr. Evan Hack is a school medical advisor in New Milford. He attended the camp as a child and worked several summers as a counselor. Dr. Hack brought this position to the attention of ASNC, and he’d be happy to hear from interested candidates, personally. You can contact him at erhped@pol.net or by telephone at 860-355-8190.
